Remember this reading corner I created when I did a New Living Room Layout?
Well I went to the Antique Store Last Week and found the PERFECT piece of
Furniture for this sweet little corner.
This dresser was plain without the numbers but was an AWESOME $20!
I knew I could modernize it and bring the black in by adding some numbers.
It's totally what Pottery Barn would do;)
I have a Cricut and could've cut the numbers out myself.
However, Not everyone has their own personal cutting device.
So....I found a $3 alternative that anyone can do!
At Target, by the Poster Board, I found these 4 inch pre-cut
Numbers. The pack included 180 letters and numbers in black.
You can decoupage (or use 2-sided tape) to modernize any
piece of furniture.
The Reading Nook has been transformed into a Pottery Barn-ish Nook.
Now I have the Perfect spot for my Vintage Tiffany Blue Type Writer.
I found it hidden away on a top shelf at the Thrift Store last year.
It was an amazing $3! It works too!
There you have it! A $3 Make-Over for a $20 Dresser:)
Stay Fashionable! Love,Candy
I think that is very cool!
ReplyDeleteCute! I NEED a dresser with drawers like that SOOO badly! I've got all my craft/scrapbooking stuff just stuffed in a corner and it makes the room look so junky and unorganized. I should go to some of the antique places around here and look for something cute. My grandma has a big dresser drawer that I am patiently waiting to get when she moves out of her house, but she is being stubborn and won't move, so who knows when I'll get it!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome find! I have plenty of thrift store furniture, but none of it is that cute!
