These are so EASY, and YOU can make them for FREE if you already have felt and pin backings or alligator clips. If you don't have felt you can buy it buy the sheet for about 25 cents!! These would make AWESOME Christmas gifts for Teachers, Friends, Young Women, Mothers, etc:)
Once you start you won't be able to help yourself. You'll want one in every color, for every outfit.
Then cut about 3 strips of felt about 1 1/2 inches wide. Fold them in half and add a little hot glue as you go to hold it in half.
Next, you will cut about 1/2 way through on the folded side of your strip of felt. You will make a cut about every 1/2 inch or so.
Once you have all 3 strips done you will begin gluing them 1 at a time to your felt circle.
You can start on the outside edge of your felt circle and follow the shape of your circle. Apply glue as needed to secure the strip. Once you have glued the first strip you can start where that one ends with your second strip and continue on with the third strip. These seriously take less than 5 min. to make and are pretty much FAIL PROOF!
If you don't need all three strips just use what you need and cut off the excess. Once you get to the middle of the flower with your last strip you can fold it over and glue it to make the middle cute. Lastly, glue your pin backing or alligator clip. Sometimes I like to glue a pin backing and an alligator clip both. That way the flower can be used multiple ways.
I haven't ever made these kind of felt flowers. They are so cute and so simple. I am going to have to get my felt out and start making some for my little girl. I would love it if you could link this up to our party going on right now.

ReplyDeleteSuper cute Candy! I'm gonna have to make some. . . for nieces or something. I think Meagan might wear one, but my girls are pretty boyish. Alyssa has just now decided she likes pink again. I'm so excited!
