SOMETIMES YOU'VE GOT TO SLOW DOWN

Our Crazy Briley after our bathroom renovation!

Hi Fashion Friends,

Talk about an unexpected Monday.  I got a call this morning that Briley had PASSED OUT during Choir Class.  She used to have this happen off and on  a few years ago.  She has been fine for several years though.   She had eaten breakfast too.  That used to be the cause.  She got really shaky and sweaty and knew she was about to go down.  She sat down before she actually fell down.
I picked her up from school and took her to the dr. this afternoon.  She had some blood work done and we'll get the results Weds.  The dr. said she's probably fine.  Just something that happens sometimes when a certain nerve is triggered that runs from the brain stem and causes an episode of syncopy  (fainting spell.)   Nothing to worry about.  However, she is the same age I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism.  The blood work will check for hypothyroidism and anemia.
She's been resting and will be back at school tomorrow.  She is sad about missing her basketball game tonight.  Teenagers are SO BUSY!  They have so many demands on their time, and their bodies are experiencing hormonal changes and mood  swings etc.  I think her body is saying slow down a little bit.  After a weekend filled with a high school basketball game, a movie with friends, about 8+ hours at solo and ensemble contest, 3 hours spent riding in the car, an out of town family birthday party Saturday night that we didn't get home from until 11:30pm, and then up early for a 2.5 hour drive to Kentucky for our nephew's baby blessing, another birthday party, and 2.5 hour drive home.
We knew it was going to be a crazy weekend.  I had prayed all week that things would go smoothly.  We had a great time with all of our loved ones.  Briley even slept a lot in the car on Sunday.  I guess sometimes our bodies tell us what we can't tell ourselves....SLOW DOWN!  This is a good message for all of us!  Hoping your weekend and Monday weren't so busy;)

  2. I know this is a little late, but I hope Briley is back to her normal self now! Did they find anything out with the tests?
