THRIFT STORE FIND TRANSFORMED

Remember back in February when I revealed some of the
treasures I found at the Thrift Store?
Well this one was the 1st to be transformed.

This Semi-Ugly  $4.99 Picture got a coat..... or 5 ;) of Krylon Ocean Breeze and Chalk Board
Spray Paint.

This small area of my living room keeps getting changed.

 This is the before.
I found a new home for the Pictures and
now I have a Very Large and Pretty Chalk Board.

I Love the Blue! It adds a POP OF COLOR to this corner of the room.

The quote on the chalkboard   is "Home can be a Heaven on Earth when we are filled with Love."

It's  part of a verse from one of our Church Hymns.

I re-purposed the small Apothecary Jars from our Winter Hot Cocoa Bar.
Filled them with wood based  Lettered rubber stamps.
I thought the letters went well with the typewriter.

The stamps were $2.50 on Clearance from Michaels.
The Apothecary Jars we're less than $2 each from a few years ago
at Wal-Mart.

Do you like the transformation?  Is the Chalkboard a better choice than the picture frame?
I Love your Comments:) They sorta make my day!

Stay Fashionable! Love,Candy

  3. I clearly followed your comment right on over to your blog! and I gasped! lol. I TOTALLY bought this same picture at a yard sale for $3 last summer. My mom laughed at me because she actually had it in our home years ago and couldn't figure out WHY i'd want it. Truth be told, I still haven't found out exactly why I wanted it. I used it in my fall decor thinking that staring at it for an entire season would spring some inspiration. Nothing. It's sitting in my frame stockpile. I'm absolutely having an 'of course. Why didn't I think of that moment." Brilliant.
