Girl's Night Out And A Laugh

Saturday started off a bit chilly, but ended up BEAUTIFULLY! I had planned a little girl's night out with a few friends. It had warmed up enough that I was able to wear my new shirt/dress! I got this little beauty at Goodys for $9! I love the chocolate brown and all the lovely lace/embroidery.

This cheesy pic is to show my cute flower ring and go to favorite brown bracelets. I got the ring @ Kohls and the bracelets forever ago, can't remember where.

I don't usually wear such long earrings. These just seemed to really go with the outfit and I ended up really liking them.

This is a classic "WHAT NOT TO WEAR" pic!! I wanted a jacket in case it cooled off. Ya...this is so not the one!!! Hello, please enjoy looking at my boxy body;) I'm glad I saw this before I left the house. lol

Aaaahhhhh...the sun shone down and this jacket created a much better look. It didn't cut my body off at the wrong spot. This one goes well with the top, and the length is much more appropriate for this look. Amazing what a change in jacket can make:)
But, I needed a splash of color to brighten things up.

And..... so came the orange scarf with all of its boldness and texture!! Much better:)
I've decided taking pics of yourself really helps you see what you really look like in your clothes. How they fit, what works and what doesn't, and what a difference a few small changes can make!

Now...if your still reading I have a funny Girl's Night Out Story. Four of us rode together in my friend's mini-van. After the restaurant we stopped for some gas.

My friend gave us a trash bag and said "Here, can you guys gather some of the trash so I can throw it away?" Being the totally awesome friends that we are, we were happy to help. Until.......the trash bag started leaking oreo and icecream all over the floor, a friend's shoes, a friend's really expensive new hand bag, and our hands etc. You get the visual;) Being the ever so prepared friend that I am, I reached into my purse and grabbed the most absorbent thing I had to soak up all of the nastiness.

Wouldn't you being willing to sacrifice a ......MAXI PAD for the good of a friend. lol That sucker was SUPER absorbent too! My friends were horrified and impressed all at the same time;)
It gave us a good laugh. I hope it gave you one too! Nothing like a Girl's Night Out to rejuvenate!!
Stay Fashionable! Love, Candy

  2. Cute outfit! I'd definitely wear the top with tights and oxfords or tights and boots.
